According to the NY Daily News’ Rich Cimini:
[New York Jets] RB Leon Washington ended his one-day holdout, showing up for the first training-camp practice this morning at SUNY-Cortland.
It’s believed that Washington still has not received a new contract, but negotiations are continuing.
The two sides had made progress in recent days, but as of late last night, the talks had hit a standstill, according to a person familiar with the negotiations. Evidently, Washington had it in his mind that he was going to come to camp no matter what, deal or no deal.
That’s good to see. Now, Mr. T, give him the contract he deserves.
