This week on the PGA Tour it is the final stop before next week’s Masters, the Shell Houston Open. Even though Redstone Golf Club is nothing like Augusta National, tournament officials have tried in recent years to eliminate the rough and speed up the greens to get it playing like Augusta. The schedule revamp would have the 2014 season starting in the 2013 calendar year, and the Q-school revamp will make the Nationwide Tour the only main access point to the PGA Tour.

Tim Finchem speaks at 1:30pm ET where we’ll probably learn more.
