I’m not a fan of 3-D. I’d love to see golf in 3-D, because I’ve heard great things, but I just don’t see the rationale with going out and buying a 3-D television. Not a lot of things are in 3-D and don’t your eyes get tired of it after a while?
This week’s PGA Tour event, the Sony Open in Hawaii will be broadcast in 3-D over the weekend, with Golf Channel producing the coverage. If you are interested, the participating cable and satellite providers are listed here. The coverage will be Saturday from 7:30-10:30pm ET and Sunday from 7-10pm ET.
According to Golf Channel, the announcers will be Brian Hammonds and Curt Byrum, with Steve Sands as the on-course reporter.
