Tiger Woods announced on his website tonight that he will return to the PGA Tour next week at the WGC-Bridgestone Invitational at Firestone in Akron, Ohio. He basically owns the place, having won there seven times.
Tiger tweeted: “Feeling fit and ready to tee it up at Firestone next week. Excited to get back out there!”
I would assume if he gets through next week OK then he’ll be good to go for the PGA Championship in two weeks.
Also, Jason Sobel of Golf Channel has learned that Tiger’s childhood friend and head of his golf course design business Bryon Bell will be on the bag next week.
