The thing I hate most about being a diehard golf fan is when non-golf writers make a foray into the golf journalism arena and attempt to put together thoughtful and insightful articles about the sport they cover only a couple of times a year.

Disagree slightly. Sobel, Harig and the rest of the ESPN golf guys are fine. It’s anyone else who crosses into golf only a couple of times a year that I have an issue with — for any network or publication.
