PGA Tour Digest Vol. 1 No. 8
February 7, 2008 at 12:40 am | In Golf | 2 CommentsCaught up in the Super Bowl hype and outcome was the startling end to the FBR Open. World #2 Phil Mickelson lost in a playoff to long hitter J.B. Holmes. J.B. has now won the FBR Open 2 out of the last 3 years. J.B. is one of those American 20somethings — they play solid in regular events, but can’t put it together in major events. Maybe J.B. can change that.
This week we move to gorgeous Pebble Beach, CA for the AT&T Pebble Beach National Pro-Am where celebrities (Kevin James, Ray Romano and a cast of thousands) join up with guys like Mickelson, Jim Furyk and Mike Weir in probably the most beautiful setting golf sees each year this side of Augusta.
More on this as the week goes on — coverage Thursday & Friday on The Golf Channel from LIVE 3-6pm ET with Kelly & Nick, and on CBS Saturday from 3-6pm ET and Sunday 3-6:30pm ET with Jim and Nick.
